SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10

last night i installed an evaluation copy of SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10. it wasn’t part of my original plan to do a whole installation of something that’s almost the same. basically i only wanted to revert to using a 32-bit version of OpensSUSE 10 because i feel that the 64-bit OpenSUSE i was using on my office workstation lacked a lot of things. and since i was upgrading to a different and faster computer then i had no choice but to do a fresh install.

my opinion on SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 – very neat!

they’ve put a lot of things in it to make it look more appealing and more convenient to use. you get a little more out of the usual Linux desktop experience, especially that they’ve shifted to Gnome. yes, SuSE was mainly pro-KDE, and i really prefer KDE too. then again SuSE is now owned by Novell. Novell seems to be very supportive of Gnome.

ok i guess i’ll give this a try. but i’m still a loyal KDE fan!
