DO NOT DELETE!
What is it? This song is featured on Ubuntu starting with version 10.10 Maverick Meerkat. It is included on install and is found on /home/USER/Music* by default. This track is still available on Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal in case you missed it on Maverick. It has become part of my music collection – the few I have because I find it too 1990s to keep such a large collection on my computer. I have a dedicated portable music player in case you are wondering. No it is not an iPod but my Android phone plugged to external speakers. Boohoo!
I recommend you listen to the song first. It is an upbeat track with a flowing melody that will “capture your ears” within minutes and will have you humming to the tune of the song in no time. Don’t worry, I have provided the song’s lyrics below so you can start singing correctly instead of mumbling the wrong words.

Song Lyrics (from the Lyrics extension on Banshee)
I never thought I’d see the day
I thought that I had finally moved along
And I had let you go so long ago, so long
This is not, this is not where I belong
So I wait for this shallow itch to pass
And I wait, yeah I wait
Hey hey, I’m ok
I don’t need this anyway, I’m fine
What’s yours and mine
Oh oh, I don’t know
What I was ever hoping I would find
But it’s time for me to leave this all behind
I don’t regret a single thing
I couldn’t say it didn’t feel alright
But I don’t want to stay and I don’t want to fight
All alone, with my foolish appetite
So I wait for this shallow itch to pass
And I wait, yeah I wait
Hey hey, I’m ok
I don’t need this anyway, I’m fine
What’s yours and mine
Oh oh, I don’t know
What I was ever hoping I would find
But it’s time for me to leave this all behind
I don’t have the heart to give away to you again
I don’t have the stomach for it, no one ever wins
We had our fun but I have sung this song to you before
Here’s my last refrain
Hey hey, I’m ok
I don’t need this anyway, I’m fine
What’s yours and mine
Oh oh, I don’t know
What I was ever hoping I would find
But it’s time for me to leave this all behind
Hey hey, I’m ok
I do not need this anyway, I’m fine
What’s yours and mine
Oh oh, I don’t know
What I was ever hoping I would find
But it’s time for me to leave this all behind
Leave it all behind
